Robust Woodpecker (Campephilus robustus) is an endemic bird of one of the most biodiverse and endangered eco-region of the world, the Atlantic Forest. It has red head, throat and neck. Male with a black and white ear-spot, female has a white malar stripe with black around.

Carpintero grande

El Carpintero grande (Campephilus robustus) es un ave endémica de una de las eco-regiones más ricas en biodiversidad y amenazadas del mundo, el Bosque Atlántico. Tiene la cabeza, garganta y cuello rojos. El macho con mancha auricular negra y blanca, hembra con malar blanco rodeado de negro.
